A densely forested site within city limits, will soon be home to a new, innovative Forest and Nature childcare centre. The facility will welcome 49 children, including 10 infants, 15 toddlers, and 24 preschool children, and will offer a unique approach to early childhood education.

Connecting with students about sustainable design

More than ever, students from high schools through colleges and universities are engaged in discussions of sustainability. With the worldwide pandemic, climate change and people like Greta Thunberg, young people are starting to ask questions about their future. As we’ve been designing ‘green’ buildings for more than 20 years, and have a full-time in-house sustainability consultant, students have been reaching out to CSV. Virtual Office Tour of CSV with Carbon 613

Take a look at our office space through this virtual tour with CSV Principal, Jessie Smith. CSV Architects is proud to be a part of Carbon 613, a network of organizations with the goal to reduce greenhouse gases in Ottawa. CSV recently moved offices to 190 O’Connor St, Ottawa, and the downtown location has already shown a reduced carbon footprint. Many of our team now take the train, bike or walk into work - the walk and transit scores of the site are both 100.
