Originally constructed in the early 1900s, this century old two-bedroom Westboro home has maintained a lot of its original character. An existing one-storey addition at the rear of the house was demolished to construct a new, more contemporary two-storey addition. The small, u-shaped kitchen was replaced with an updated galley-style kitchen complete with a large, wood-topped centre island. New patio doors open the kitchen up to the new large deck; extending the living space outside into the backyard. Windows around the new entrance and stair were carefully placed to frame views and to bring light down into the new basement recreation room. The new second storey space became a master bedroom retreat complete with a dressing area and semi-private soaker tub. Surrounded by mature trees, a balcony off the master bedroom provides serene place to enjoy a morning coffee. A slatted wood railing around the balcony allows windows surrounding the tub to let in natural lighting while still providing privacy for bathing.
