Firm Profile

CSV Architects is an Ottawa-based architectural practice focused on the sustainable design of Institutional, Commercial and Multiple Unit Residential projects. The firm offers special expertise in Sustainable Design (including LEED® submissions), Child Care Centres, Public Use Projects, Care Facilities, Non-Profit Housing, and Heritage Conservation.

The practice has four principals: Anthony Leaning, Robert Froom, Peter Simister, and Darryl Hood.  There are also eight staff members including Architects, Intern Architects, Architectural Technologists, a Sustainability Consultant and an Office Manager.  We work closely as a team and have developed high standards of communication, project documentation, contract administration and risk management.

CSV Architects is committed to sustainable design, and has five LEED® Accredited Professionals and one Green Associate on staff. Our achievements in Heritage Conservation have been honoured with six Architectural Conservation Awards from the City of Ottawa. Our dedication to excellence in design has been recognized with two Awards of Excellence from the Ontario Association of Architects, the most recent in 2012 for the Rideau Canal Skateway Chalets.
